My Journey as a Street Photographer

My journey as a street photographer is the story of a passion that saved me and gave a new meaning to my life. However, this adventure has not always been straightforward or easy.

I began my path with a scientific baccalaureate, followed by studies in French classical literature and pedagogy. In my quest for more knowledge, I then obtained an MBA, as well as a diploma as a teacher of French as a foreign language (FLE). My love for words and languages naturally led me to work as a translator in embassies and as a trainer for the United Nations. I was also fortunate to live out my passion for books by working as a bookseller.

All my life, I have been deeply passionate about culture, particularly French culture, and I have dedicated my existence to teaching French and promoting French culture abroad. This devotion was recognized in 2020 when I had the honor of being awarded the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, Knoght of France for arts and letters from the Minister of Culture of France.

However, despite all these achievements, life had its share of challenges. Sudden and ongoing issues plunged me into a deep depression. It was during this dark period that street photography emerged as a lifeline. Armed with my phone, I started wandering the streets, seeking moments of happiness to capture. This simple yet profoundly rewarding activity became a true therapy for me.

Street photography allowed me to rediscover the world from a new perspective. By capturing moments of life, I learned to see beauty in the small details of everyday life. The people I photograph are often unaware that they are experiencing pure moments of happiness. My goal is to freeze these moments, to make them eternal, and to share this subtle joy with the world.

Today, I owe my life to street photography. It has given me a second chance, a new perspective, and an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Each walk is an opportunity to discover and capture the hidden magic in simple gestures, spontaneous smiles, and authentic human interactions.

Ultimately, my journey is one of rebirth through the art of photography. This passion has shown me that even in the darkest times, there is always light to be found, stories to be told, and moments of happiness to celebrate. My many travels to the USA, Emirates, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Syria, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, and South Africa have influenced my creativity. Egypt, France, and especially the Mediterranean are an endless source of inspiration.
